One Small Step Exhibition

Our spectacular new exhibition, One Small Step, celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Man's first steps on the Moon. The stunning new exhibition, another world first for Spaceport, uses images, film and detailed models to explain the landmark stages from the earliest concepts of space travel, to the historic moment of the Moon landing on July 20th 1969. One Small Step features original film, detailed models and interactive displays.  The exhibition also showcases the future of space-travel, and the hope for travel to other worlds; until now only a a dream! 

 

For one single Spaceport entrance fee, visitors can enjoy One Small Step plus Spaceport's exciting Planetarium Show, interactive exhibits and 'Time Machine' motion simulator ride. 

Moon rock and meteorites

As part of their preservation, fragments of lunar samples retrieved by Apollo missions 15, 16 and 17 are encapsulated in a disk of Lucite, and can only be on show for three periods during the exhibition. The fragments along with rare sized meteorites found around the world, owned by NASA, will be on display for the following periods:-
